Beef Share Finder is a guide and directory for people buying beef direct from farms by the quarter, half or whole. We started with Florida and added Michigan, Indiana and Ohio in October 2026. The site is run by Drop Group, LLC.

How we build listings

  1. We find farms and ranches in each state we cover (Florida, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio) that sell beef shares. We read the farm's own website, or, for farms without one, we call the farm and list only what it tells us and agrees we can publish.
  2. We record only what the farm states: share sizes, posted prices (with the date we saw them), price basis (live, hanging or packaged weight, or flat), whether processing is included, processor, deposit, and pickup or delivery.
  3. Anything the farm doesn't state is marked unknown.
  4. We list business locations (city and county) only.
  5. Each listing shows where its details came from and the date. We re-check listings and date every check.

What we don't do

  • We don't give health, nutrition, medical or legal advice, and we don't rate farms.
  • We are not the seller. Farms sell directly to you. We don't sell, process, store, deliver or inspect beef, we don't take deposits or payments for farms, and we aren't part of your purchase.
  • We aren't affiliated with any listed farm, and we don't verify farms' claims.
  • We don't sell your data. Newsletter signup uses Kit with a confirmation email (double opt-in). See our privacy policy and terms of use.

Featured listings and sponsors

Basic listings are free. Featured spots are available, and featured listings are labeled “Featured”. Featured farms are part of our founding-farm program. Featured placement is paid, and some farms are in a free trial period. Featured placement never changes a farm's listed facts. No farm has paid for a featured spot yet. We may also offer newsletter sponsorships later. Sponsored items will be labeled “Sponsored.”
